Austin County Fair
The Rocking B family has been a proud supporter of the Austin County Fair and Livestock Show for years.
The Austin County Fair was organized in 1927 as an association to encourage agriculture and horticulture by exhibition of livestock and farm products. Originally known as the Bellville Community Fair Association it had only five directors.
Shortly after its organization, the fair changed its name to the Austin County Fair in order to encompass the entire county. The Austin County Fair even continued during World War II and has continued to grow bigger and bigger over the years.
Today there are 50 directors who represent various sectors of the county. There are hundreds of committeemen, volunteers, sponsors and buyers who help make the Austin County Fair bigger and better every year.
Small Town Christmas
Small Town Christmas comes to life with the Holiday Baking Contest & Sale sponsored by First National Bank of Bellville, Late Night Shopping, complete with Wassail & Cookies, and the Friday night festivities on the Square. The Ringing of the Church Bells and Lighting of the Luminaries surrounding the Austin County Courthouse set the scene for Opening Ceremonies, followed by the Lighted Small Town Christmas Parade and Grand Entrance of Santa Clause. Make sure you bring your friends and family and wow the crowd with your favorite holiday tunes with Christmas Karaoke at the Chamber!
Bellville Heritage Cowgirls
Bellville is the home of the Bellville Heritage Cowgirls. A mounted drill team performing at rodeos and events all over.
